Portal Percussion has developed into one of the premier chamber ensembles in Central PA. Originally comprised of percussionists Matt Bracciante, Brian Doherty and Rich Klimowicz; the group recently welcomed Luke Helker. The trio has been providing stimulating, high-energy percussion performances and clinics to a number of schools, conventions, and music halls across the Mid-Atlantic since the Fall of 2011. The members of Portal have made it their mission to enrich local communities by exposing them to the exciting world of percussion through performance. In addition to performing, Portal places a strong emphasis on the benefits of music education. They have tailored interactive clinics for school students designed to generate a greater respect and appreciation for music in their lives. The ensemble repertoire spans from traditional to contemporary, across a wide variety of percussion styles.
