Event Navigation
NOVEMBER 10 at 7 PM (The Rabbit and the Dragonfly, 51 N Market St, Lancaster)
In partnership with The Lancaster County Conservancy’s Water Week 2018, The Row House Forum is pleased to welcome back Dr. Matthew Dickerson of Middlebury College (VT).
He will be speaking on Rivers and Streams in our Collective Experience and Imagination.
Dickerson is the author of Ents, Elves, and Eriador: The Environmental Vision of J.R.R. Tolkien and Downstream: Reflections on Brook Trout, Fly Fishing, and the Waters of Appalachia.
He is Professor of Computer Science at Middlebury and has written a fantasy fiction trilogy called The Daegman War. An avid fly fisherman, husband, and father, this modern renaissance man is eager to return to Lancaster.
The Forum will be hosted by Tom Becker, Founder & Director of The Row House Inc. A generous time of Q&A will follow his lecture.
Tickets are $7.50 in advance and $10.00 at the door. The Rabbit & Dragonfly will be selling drinks and food from their entire menu.
The purpose of Matthew’s visit is to offer Lancastrians a vision for appreciating, conserving, and enjoying our waterways. We also know he will inject a little magic into the water.
The Row House Forum exists as a public event for anyone interested in “engaging current culture with ancient faith.” Friends, questions, and comments are always more than welcome.
